Our experience starts in the capital, Madrid. In a completely personalized tour, our guide will plan a visit around the city, with stops that best take into account your tastes and interests.
During the following days we will discover some of the most fascinating towns and areas of southern Castile.
Our first destination outside Madrid will be Chinchón, a town whose unique blend of beauty and tradition perfectly embodies the ideal of the Castilian village.
Indeed, its picturesque Plaza Mayor ranks as one of the most attractive squares in the world.
A different kind of beauty awaits us in Aranjuez, a Royal Estate of the Crown of Spain for many centuries, and a UNESCO World Heritage site thanks to the town’s cultural landscape.
In Aranjuez we will visit the magnificent Royal Palace and Gardens, and later enjoy a typical Castilian meal at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon we will continue to Toledo, known as the Imperial City and the City of the Three Cultures.
We will stay there overnight, starting our in-depth exploration of the town the following morning.
The so-called Three Cultures—The Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities—lived here peacefully for many centuries, and the city still sends a universal message of perpetual coexistence.
During our tour of Toledo, we will also focus on El Greco, the famous Greek painter who lived and painted in this city for more than 30 years.
In the evening, we will drive to a hunting residence located in an impressive natural setting amid the rugged Montes de Toledo.
We’ll spend a few days relaxing in this recently restored villa, enjoying every kind of comfort and exploring the pristine natural surroundings.
From this base we have a wide range of activities at our disposal: wildlife watching, horse riding, walking and hiking, mountain biking, cycling, and treasure hunting for kids, to name but a few.
These few days are a unique and memorable way to end your holidays; surrounded by the vastness of nature, at the same time close to civilization but also a million miles away, lost in time in the heart of old Castile.
