The ideal place to relive the fasts of the old Roman Empire in Catalonia is Tarragona or Tarraco, the most important Provincial Capital in the Western Mediterranean area. In this UNESCO listed city that had a monumental Forum bigger than that of Rome, we will visit its ancient Roman city walls, the old Amphitheater and the Circus, discovering the original layout and understanding how the development of a urban center is the result of accumulation and recycling of old buildings, readapted to more modern uses. We will also visit the Medieval Cathedral of Tarragona, built in an interesting transitional style between Romanesque and Gothic and located in the Provincial Forum of Tarraco, where the Temple of the Emperor Augustus had been.
